It features an optimized dish rack that can hold up to three sets of dishes, as well as additional functions such as a water softener, delayed start, and child lock. Additionally, the R09 has a more efficient Class D energy rating. You can refer to the comparison chart for more detailed information.

Are the tableware baskets for the R01 and R09 models the same?

Yes, the tableware baskets for the R01 and R09 are the same size and can physically hold the same number of place settings-up to three. However, the R09 features optimized washing and drying programs that allow it to effectively clean and dry three place settings.
The R01’s programs are not optimized for that load, so although its basket can fit three place settings, we recommend loading no more than two to ensure the best cleaning and drying results.

Why is the inside of my R09 Countertop Dishwasher damp?

Each HAVA countertop dishwasher undergoes testing and inspection before shipping. As a result, it's normal for your dishwasher to have some residual water inside. This does not indicate any quality issues. However, if you prefer, you can run a Self-Clean cycle with an empty load before your first use to clean the dishwasher.

What is the maximum plate diameter that can fit in the HAVA R09?

The HAVA R09 can accommodate plates with a maximum diameter of 26 cm when placed vertically. When placed at an angle, it can hold plates up to 27.5 cm in diameter. Please note that if the plates are not perfectly round, both the number of plates and the maximum supported diameter may vary.

How does the R09 dishwasher's water softener work?

The dishwasher is equipped with a water softener that traps magnesium and calcium ions, preventing limescale buildup and reducing watermarks on your dishware. To use the water softener, follow these steps:
1. Add Dishwasher Salt:

• When the Salt Shortage icon illuminates, you need to refill the dishwasher salt.
• Rotate the softener cap counterclockwise and remove it.
• Add no less than 250g (0.55 lb) and no more than 500g (1.1 lb) of dishwasher salt.
• If the inside of the softener is dry, fill it with cold water (DO NOT use hot or warm water).
• Do not overfill the compartment.
• Carefully stir the salt into the water, then securely tighten the cap.

2. Run an Empty Wash Cycle:

• After adding dishwasher salt, it is recommended to run a wash cycle with no dishware loaded to ensure proper functioning.
• The Salt Shortage icon may not turn off immediately, as the newly added salt takes time to dissolve.

Important Notes: Only use dishwasher-specific salt. DO NOT use industrial salt or kitchen salt. If storing the dishwasher for an extended period, manually remove any liquid from the softener to prevent residue buildup.

How do I adjust the water softener setting based on my local water hardness?

Before first use, it is recommended to set the water softener according to your local water hardness level. Follow these steps to adjust the setting:

• Refer to the water hardness table in the user manual (page 13) to choose the correct setting for your area.
• Press and hold the Power and Child Lock buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
• Short press the Child Lock button to cycle through the available hardness settings.
• Short press the Power button to confirm your selected setting.

Notes: Choosing the correct water softener setting helps improve cleaning performance and reduces limescale buildup. Regularly check the Salt Shortage icon and refill the salt as needed to maintain the softener's functionality.

Will the R09 Countertop Dishwasher work without adding dishwasher salt?

Yes, the machine can operate normally without dishwasher salt. However, the salt shortage indicator will remain lit on the panel throughout the cycle, but this won’t affect the dishwasher’s cleaning performance. That said, if your local water hardness is high, we recommend adding dishwasher salt to the softener to prevent watermarks and calcium buildup, which can affect the machine’s lifespan.

Can I place the dishwasher under the sink instead of on the countertop?

The HAVA R09 Dishwasher can be used anywhere that is convenient. However, please ensure that the height between the sink and the drain hose is less than 45 cm for proper water drainage.

Jedes einzelne Mal, wenn ich festgestellt habe, dass mein Geschirr nicht sauber wurde, lag es daran, dass er sich nicht gedreht hat. Meistens lag es daran, dass ein Geschirrteil den Weg blockiert hat (keine große Sache, passe das Geschirr einfach so an, dass es nicht unter dem Korb herabhängt). Manchmal habe ich festgestellt, dass etwas das Loch im Sprüharm blockiert hat, was auch einfach zu reinigen ist, nimm ihn einfach heraus und entferne die Blockade.

Purchased for an apartment that doesn't have a dishwasher. Easy to use, it holds a lot of dishes. We like the layout of the rack. It cleans excellently! We have washed lightly soiled plates, pots and pans. We do use the salt feature for Hard Water. We figured it will help the dishwasher operate a longer life while getting our dishes sparkling clean. We appreciated the reviews stating how tall it is. While it would fit under the cabinet, we would not be able to fill it, so we have it on the open counter or on a kitchen cart. We use the pitcher to fill it and don't find it a bother at all. We always use the heating setting to dry so it will circulate air for 72 hours. We also purchased a washing machine door holder to hold the door open to keep air flow when not in use since it states how a small amount of water stays in the bottom by design. We have had 3 weeks and put it to many tests. We are very happy and think it is a great value for the money. The build feels durable while not being too heavy. It does not tip. The 2 drawbacks for us that were not dealbreakers but to be aware of are: In the silverware basket most of the holes are small, so it can hold more silverware that has smaller straight handles. The section cup to hold the discharge hose is a joke that holds nothing. We purchased a sponge holder that suctions to the sink and put the hose through there which holds it up out of the way very nicely.

Ich habe das Gerät gekauft, damit es in einen Küchenschrank mit Tür passt. Man kann es komplett an die Wasserleitung anschließen – das sollte unbedingt in der Produktbeschreibung erwähnt werden! Reinigt genauso gründlich wie ein normaler Geschirrspüler, überraschend leicht (definitiv auch für Camping geeignet, insofern man Strom hat) und dank des Tanks auch ohne Wasserzulauf nutzbar. Sogar Pfannen und Töpfe passen mit rein. Für singles lohnt es sich allemale, ich bereue es ihn nicht schon früher gekauft zu haben :)

Wir haben das Gerät fest an den Wasseranschluss und auch fest an den Trapps angeschlossen. Das Beladen ist etwas kompliziert, aber mit etwas mehr Übung sollte es dann vllt besser klappen. Waschleistung ist prima wir sind super zufrieden. Bei dem grobkörnigen Spezialsalz, welches sich nicht so schnell auflöst, wird erst zur 3. Wäsche angezeigt, dass es aufgefüllt wurde. Sie ist leise.
