Are the tableware baskets for the R01 and R09 models the same?

Yes, the tableware baskets for the R01 and R09 are the same size and can physically hold the same number of place settings—up to three. However, the R09 features optimized washing and drying programs that allow it to effectively clean and dry three place settings.
The R01’s programs are not optimized for that load, so although its basket can fit three place settings, we recommend loading no more than two to ensure the best cleaning and drying results.

Why is the inside of my R09 Countertop Dishwasher damp?

Each HAVA countertop dishwasher undergoes testing and inspection before shipping. As a result, it's normal for your dishwasher to have some residual water inside. This does not indicate any quality issues. However, if you prefer, you can run a Self-Clean cycle with an empty load before your first use to clean the dishwasher.

What is the maximum plate diameter that can fit in the HAVA R09?

The HAVA R09 can accommodate plates with a maximum diameter of 26 cm when placed vertically. When placed at an angle, it can hold plates up to 27.5 cm in diameter. Please note that if the plates are not perfectly round, both the number of plates and the maximum supported diameter may vary.

How does the R09 dishwasher's water softener work?

The dishwasher is equipped with a water softener that traps magnesium and calcium ions, preventing limescale buildup and reducing watermarks on your dishware. To use the water softener, follow these steps:
1. Add Dishwasher Salt:

• When the Salt Shortage icon illuminates, you need to refill the dishwasher salt.
• Rotate the softener cap counterclockwise and remove it.
• Add no less than 250g (0.55 lb) and no more than 500g (1.1 lb) of dishwasher salt.
• If the inside of the softener is dry, fill it with cold water (DO NOT use hot or warm water).
• Do not overfill the compartment.
• Carefully stir the salt into the water, then securely tighten the cap.

2. Run an Empty Wash Cycle:

• After adding dishwasher salt, it is recommended to run a wash cycle with no dishware loaded to ensure proper functioning.
• The Salt Shortage icon may not turn off immediately, as the newly added salt takes time to dissolve.

Important Notes: Only use dishwasher-specific salt. DO NOT use industrial salt or kitchen salt. If storing the dishwasher for an extended period, manually remove any liquid from the softener to prevent residue buildup.

How do I adjust the water softener setting based on my local water hardness?

Before first use, it is recommended to set the water softener according to your local water hardness level. Follow these steps to adjust the setting:

• Refer to the water hardness table in the user manual (page 13) to choose the correct setting for your area.
• Press and hold the Power and Child Lock buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
• Short press the Child Lock button to cycle through the available hardness settings.
• Short press the Power button to confirm your selected setting.

Notes: Choosing the correct water softener setting helps improve cleaning performance and reduces limescale buildup. Regularly check the Salt Shortage icon and refill the salt as needed to maintain the softener's functionality.

Will the R09 Countertop Dishwasher work without adding dishwasher salt?

Yes, the machine can operate normally without dishwasher salt. However, the salt shortage indicator will remain lit on the panel throughout the cycle, but this won’t affect the dishwasher’s cleaning performance. That said, if your local water hardness is high, we recommend adding dishwasher salt to the softener to prevent watermarks and calcium buildup, which can affect the machine’s lifespan.

Can I place the dishwasher under the sink instead of on the countertop?

The HAVA R09 Dishwasher can be used anywhere that is convenient. However, please ensure that the height between the sink and the drain hose is less than 45 cm for proper water drainage.

I was not expecting such a good experience with a countertop dishwasher. I'd had one many years before (not this brand) and was disappointed in it as it did not really work well at all. However, with the Hava dishwasher, I was blown away. It cleans the dishes as well as a built-in expensive dishwasher. It might be small and compact, but it is a workhorse. The dishes come out clean every time. I've yet to have any food particles remain on any dish. I have it placed next to the kitchen double sink, and fill it with a pull out faucet. I'm still shocked that 5L (1.3 gallons) can clean the dishes so effectively. I did not (nor plan to) hook it up to the water supply, it actually took more time to remove the packing tape and unpack the parts that came with it than to actually set it up. Filling the salt takes just a minute. The filter is also easy to remove and clean. As it is just myself, I run it maybe every 2-3 days. For a couple or small family, it would be perfect for every day use. It's also very quiet compared to a standard dishwasher, which surprised me. The beeps are really quiet as well. It comes with a cutlery basket as well as a fruit basket. I've not used the fruit basket for fruit, but to hold a bunch of smaller items that needed cleaned. Think jar lids or similar. Overall, I would highly recommend this dishwasher.

Ich spüle Gl?ser, Besteck, Teller und auch klein Topfe und Pfanne damit: das Ergebnis ist mega, alles kommt sehr sauber heraus und die Maschine ist auch leise. Der Spüler trocknet auch perfekt. Ich habe auch Obst gewaschen und bin zufrieden damit. Was ich auch sehr toll finde, ist dass, wenn man sie nicht an den Wasserhahn verbinden kann, kann man das Wasser von Hand rein füllen.

Now my kitchen is always clean, and there is no useless dispute in the family about who will wash the dishes :) I recommend it for families of 2-3 persons for daily washing - so far, 1 load per day was enough for my family of 3, although we have at least 3 meals at home. Insgesamt ist alles gut. Das Einzige – das Ablaufsystem der Spülmaschine mit Saugnapf ist nicht sehr zuverlässig. Beim ersten Einschalten hat sich der Saugnapf gelöst und Wasser lief auf den Boden. Jetzt beschweren wir den Schlauch zusätzlich mit etwas Schwerem, was natürlich nicht sehr praktisch ist.

J'étais sceptique quand je l'ai vu il est pas si petit que ça on peut mettre pas mal de vaisselle moi je sais que les bol du matin et les couverts et assiettes et verre du midi me le remplissent bien et moi qui ai de l'arthrose dégénérative dans les mains quand je fais des des poussées de crise je trouve ça super pour ceux qui sont comme moi ça m'aide bien

La livraison c’est bien effectué je n’ai pas fait de photos car je suis absent de l’appartement jusqu’à ce soir ce petit lave vaisselle m’a servi 2 fois il a bien fonctionné et sa contenance est bien étant 2 et parfois 3 à l’utiliser

Après la panne de mon lave-vaisselle grande capacité (qui me semblait peu pratique en étant seul, j’ai commandé le R09 directement chez HAVA — sans frais de port, au meilleur prix, et livré en 3 jours ! Le service client était excellent, et je ne regrette absolument rien. Il lave mieux que mon ancien appareil, fonctionne presque en silence et laisse la vaisselle sèche, sans traces de calcaire. Le meilleur ? Le réservoir d’eau intégré évite toute installation de raccordement. Si vous cherchez un lave-vaisselle compact et performant, c’est celui-ci !

Je préfère utiliser le mode réservoir d'eau plutôt que de le connecter au robinet. L'adoucisseur d'eau intégré prévient le tartre, et je l'utilise presque tous les jours. La vaisselle ressort très propre. Je le recommande vivement !

Il fait plutôt bien son travail… Seul bémol … quand on lance une machine «express» il enchaîne derrière avec un programme de 50 min pt même de 59 min.., un programme d’essorage il me semble…après je n’ai pas essayé d’ouvrir la porte au bout des 29 min … Il n’y a peut-être même pas besoin du programme qui suit… À essayer…☝️
